Welcome to the Warwick Police Department

The Warwick Police Department was established in 1921.  Prior to that the villages of Warwick were policed by constables and sheriffs since 1648.  The department currently has 172 sworn police officers supported by 53 civilian employees that provide municipal policing services to a residential population of 81,000.

Warwick Police Department Headlines

Starting Monday June 15th new water lines will be installed throughout the Apponaug circle. This work will take up to 8 weeks with overnight lane closures on Post Rd from Apponaug Four Corners (Rt 117) to West Shore Rd. The work will be done Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 PM to 6 AM. There will be short term water service interruptions, uneven roadways and construction noise.
