On June 13, 2013, members of the Warwick Police Uniform division participated in an Active Shooter exercise at T.F. Green airport in conjunction with the Rhode Island Airport Police (RIAP).  Included in the exercise scenario were members of the Rhode Island State Police who provided assistance to responding agencies. A group of volunteers provided simulated casualties to enhance realism into the scenario.

The purpose of the exercise was to measure Rhode Island Airport Police's capacity to respond to an Active Shooter while planning to integrate mutual aid first responders from other local and state agencies.

Upon completion of the exercise a debriefing session was conducted and all lessons learned and corrective measures will be released in an After-Action report.  Mutual aid exercises are beneficial to all agencies who are responsible for the safety of the citizens of Warwick.
