Warwick police: RAP Artists assaulted a man and posted attack on YouTube.

On July 19th, 2013 two men who came to New England to promote a new rap album were arrested by the police in Warwick after they allegedly assaulted a man in the Motel 6 on Jefferson Boulevard and posted the assault on YouTube.

Police said the assault in the motel was just one of two allegedly committed by the pair -- Jacorey Dejuan Bryant, 22, of Atlanta, and Ira Rophiel Malcom Jr., 23, of Lithonia, Ga. -- early Friday morning. The police said that at 2:18 a.m. they responded to the Mobil gas station at 15 Jefferson Blvd. where another male victim reported that he had just been pistol-whipped by the same pair.
Members of the Warwick Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team apprehended Bryant and Malcom in the motel room where they were staying.

According to the police, the suspects had been in Massachusetts earlier to promote a rap album under the label SODMG, owned and operated by rapper and artist Soulja Boy.

Malcom was being held Friday on charges of robbery and Bryant was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, robbery, carrying a pistol without a permit, malicious damage and disorderly conduct.
